Bellingham’s physical condition after the match against Braga

Real Madrid resumed their training this Thursday, with all eyes on Jude Bellingham’s physical condition. The Englishman, who limped off the pitch during the Braga match, did not practice with the team and worked at the facilities with the medical staff to recover from an adductor injury he’s been dealing with.

This injury comes at possibly the worst time, as Real Madrid is set to face Barcelona in El Clásico in just a few days. Nevertheless, Carlo Ancelotti remains optimistic about Bellingham’s chances of playing in the match. The plan is for the club’s top scorer to start training with the team on Friday morning and be ready for the starting lineup without any issues.

Bellingham’s statements and winter preparation

Bellingham confirmed in an interview with TVE that he will be playing in El Clásico. “I’ll be at El Clásico,” he said with a smile, speaking in Spanish. Having played 15 games and accumulated 1,530 minutes this season for both the club and national team, Bellingham will benefit from Real Madrid’s game-free week. After El Clásico, they won’t play again until November 5. During these eight days, Ancelotti, with the specific assistance of Antonio Pintus, will focus on enhancing the physical condition of Real Madrid’s players in preparation for winter.

On another note, aside from the positive news about Bellingham, Ancelotti hasn’t reported much change in the medical status leading up to El Clásico. Dani Ceballos continues his recovery from a muscle injury, and Arda Guler is still working on his fitness following a disrupted pre-season. Regarding long-term absences, Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao will be out for a while. However, Joselu, who missed the Braga game due to the flu, has returned to training and is now fully fit. Ancelotti also welcomes back Nacho after he served a two-game LaLiga suspension following his red card against Girona.
