The only two teams that don’t have to play during NFL Wild Card Weekend are the betting choices to be playing in this year’s Super Bowl game when looking at the Super Bowl odds for the remaining 14 playoff teams.
NFL oddsmakers are projecting a rematch of the 2013 Super Bowl in the big game for 2024. It’s the San Francisco 49ers who are set as +225 favorites. Right behind them are the Baltimore Ravens at +325.
That hard-charging squad closing in on both teams, though, is the Buffalo Bills. Since clinching a fourth successive AFC East crown via Sunday’s win at Miami, the Bills saw their Super Bowl betting line shorten to +600 from +875.
Let’s take a look at the leading contenders, some longshots worth considering and the teams that you should avoid making a play on in the Super Bowl odds. First, though, we’ll check the latest Super Bowl betting lines.

49ers Look to Take Next Step
Last season, San Francisco lost in the NFC Championship Game. The 49ers came back this season with a vengeance, garnering the NFC’s top seed and home-field advantage.
From ESPN's Bill Barnwell: #49ers RB Christian McCaffrey has 114 first downs which 38 more than any other RB. He's turned 33.6% of his touches this season into first downs or touchdowns.

San Francisco is #4 in the NFL in total offense and passing offense and #3 in rushing offense. RB Christian McCaffrey led the NFL with 21 TDs. Defensively, the 49ers were #3 overall and at stopping the run.
However they did stumble enough at times this season to create some doubt. There were losses at Cleveland and Minnesota and at home to Cincinnati in succesive weeks, as well as falling decisively at home to the Ravens.
Deja Vu All Over Again for Ravens?
In 2019, Baltimore clinched top seed in the AFC with a week left in the regular season. Opting to rest many starters for that last, meaningless game, two weeks later after their bye week a bunch of rusty Ravens were upset by the Tennessee Titans.
Despite that history, Ravens coach John Harbaugh opted to rest key players, including QB1 and NFL MVP favorite Lamar Jackson for their season finale against Pittsburgh. He believes this team is much more mature than the 2019 squad and will take the proper measures to ensure they’re ready to play when the Divisional Round rolls around.
Certainly, the Ravens have been flexing against some of the best teams in the NFL season. At home, Baltimore beat Detroit 38-3 and Miami 56-19. The Ravens went into San Francisco and smacked the 49ers 33-19.
Bills Finally Getting It Right?
Is there a scarier team to face in the NFL postseason than the Bills? Everyone in football has been waiting for the Bills to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy. When Buffalo was 6-6, no one was thinking it would be this season.

Five wins in a row since earned them a fourth successive AFC East. The Bills are playing their best football at the most important time of year. Could this be the season that QB Josh Allen and Buffalo finally get it done?
Super Bowl Longshots Worth Considering
Cleveland and Detroit have been eligible to go to every Super Bowl game. But the Browns (+3000) and Lions (+2000) are the only NFL teams over that span never to get to the big game.
Both are intriguing clubs this season. The Lions do it with an explosive offense, that’s #5 in the NFL in scoring offense (27.1 points per game). For the Browns, it’s a menacing defense. Cleveland is the NFL’s top pass defense and the Browns have sacked enemy QBs 49 times.

Avoid These NFL Teams
The Dallas Cowboys (+750) are the fourth betting choice in the Super Bowl odds and if the Super Bowl was being played in Dallas, they’d be a great bet. But it’s not.
Dallas is 8-0 straight up at home this season. The Cowboys in fact have won 16 successive home games. On the road though, it’s a different story. Dallas has dropped away games against NFL playoff teams including the 49ers, Eagles, Bills and Dolphins.
Kansas City (+1000) has played in three of the past four Super Bowls. This year, there’s something missing from that successful formula. The Chiefs don’t have a capable WR. It’s hurt them all season long.
