Just eight teams remain in contention for the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup and after an exciting round of 16, the first legs of the quarter final stage are set to get underway next week in which four teams from Liga MX, three from MLS and Herediano, who fly the flag for the Costa Rican top flight remain.

The undoubted spotlight grabbing contest is the clash between Inter Miami against Liga MX table toppers Monterrey. With the news breaking that Messi will be sidelined for the Herons home MLS game against NYCFC this weekend, Miami fans will be hoping that the Argentine is fit for Wednesday’s first leg.
