2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Odds & Picks: Thursday (8/3)

Thursday marks the final day of group play at the Women’s World Cup. Fourteen of the 16 spots in the knockout round have been claimed, so just two remain. Three of the four teams in Group H have a realistic chance to advance, while Korea Republic would need a win by five goals or more and a Colombia win over Morocco to go through.

Korea Republic vs. Germany

A win or draw for the German side, and they’re through. Korea Republic needs a herculean effort against Germany and some help if they hope to continue their World Cup journey. Alexandra Popp has three goals in her first two matches. Expect her to add to that total against the Koreans.

The Pick: To Score Two Goals or More €“ Alexandra Popp (+400)

Morocco vs. Colombia

Colombia is in the Group H driver’s seat, banking three points in each of their first two matches. They are all but through to the knockout round, so we may see some players get some rest. Morocco needs a big win or a draw, and a Korean miracle to advance. Neither seems very likely.

The Pick: Colombia (-185)
